It's second time I buy one...still it feels limited and not getting out of it any great sounds used in the psytrance scene...
Any advice, or just sell it?

I don't know...any...I mean so many people swear by it for psytrance and to me sound dull, metallic and plain boring and limited.... (

learn to sound design or u ll be so limited....
be stucks on presets in nord lead is better to sell it ...
u have killer envelopes and filter..so make good use of it..

I have a nord lead 3, and I have the same problem, I can't seem to get a fat sound out of it, I guess the trick is in the voices, you can play 4 diferent banks at the same time when you press the performance mode botton, I guess if you use a diferent pitch on each one, and dedicate some time to each sound you can get a fat sound, I use compression alot, so I can tight up the sound a lot better, the filters are really cool, and something that helps you get a fatter sound, is the unison knob, that is really cool, and in the modulation knob theres an option of distortion, that helps too, another thing, check out, some times a lead sounds fatter or tighter in mono, you can always record a sound in mono, duplicate the channel, and get them a little off face, so they dont cancel each other out, and you will have a fat sound!!

you realy dont need compression and diferent banks or what ever to make the nord lead sounds sound fat.
at least in the nord lead 2....
talkin bout FATTTTTT if u want something FAT use 2 oscilators making it FAAAAAAAT...
like 2 sawtooths or 2 pulse waves with slightly detuned oscilators via the fine tune....
and then u can use the envelopes and the filter to bring something new from the oscilators...
always work on the oscilators first... and from those oscilators u ll open a buque of new sounds..thro the other modules....
my approach now with the nord lead s that i created lots of presets only based on the oscilators combination so when im doin the music.. i ll dig in the other modules of the nord based on what i m tryin to achieve

Valhallaroom + Soundtoys Echoboy or any other decent delay does the trick for me.
It's much more fun playing and creating sounds with the Nord Lead even with just a good reverb.

U already have a virus? why an earth u botherin with the nord then,, your virus should be producing an infinite amount of sounds for u to not even worry about the nord mate

depends on which virus. those a/b/c are pretty the same in synthesis capabilities with nord2.
i like its sound a lot. will buy it back when have opportunity for sure, and im thinking of the first one
try some basic init patch with 1 saw osc. short decay on filter env, with lp. a lot of amp release. play a beautiful melody loop and open the filter slowly. play with resonance there. you'll get it, im sure. it sounds very musical.
