another question that I've fallen back on...i use bazzism or sylenth to make kick... Just needed to know how one acually knows for sure that they both in tune,,without bieng obviouse..eg same root key kick on d bass on d...but after that when u start pitching the swoop length end and start surly this changes the pitch,,, so basicly how basicly how do u know when u got them both rollin in tune...

People say tune the tail end..I heard destorting kick helps but I don't think so.. I dont like to use samples either...so really making kick first then making the baseline fit the kick sounds more ideal, but still how would u know there both perfectly in tune? No overlap?no phase? Does a spectrum analyzer help? The fastest way?

U know what I mean right lads? the pitch is constantly bieng altered when tweaking kick n bass line together so the end result may be different

also what part r u mentt to be tuning (bazzism)
what part on a synth( when I working with sine and pitching envelopes iz it the decay attack sustain the whooomp changes pitch out of pitch to the baseline ....so hehehe how does u know if it in tune.

Some screen shots of step by step tweaking kick tune to bass would be helpful, sorry for another thread..I keep holding myself back.

well, the funny thing is with bazzism, that there
is no difference what note you play.           www.soundcloud.com/orgytime

But there is a difference with Frequency start and frequency End

You have to do it by ears, there is no wrong and right..
If you tune the fEnd to you baseline root they might collide. But you can experiment...

Just use a frequency chart and find out... i mean jizy common.. use your ears

The thing with using sound forge or something like that is you can't tweak the pitch envelope and the start and end points of the kick inside the track.

I'm just happy when my kick sounds like it's carrying the same weight as the bass. I'm hearing a lot of the faster psy especially that sounds like a note is missing from the bassline every time the kick comes in.. know what I mean? The groove goes to shit when that happens.

Bazzism:

1.check fStart from fq chart
2.Mute bass track
3.Go to bazzism and slide tEnd to it's max until kick start to give a tune
4.now use fEnd to fine tune your kick with a song           ""

So say if my bass line is in E, the f start on bazzism has to be 40hz roughly? And f end had to be double the amount??

when i doubt my ears, i double check with adobe audition -it has a analyzer which is excellent for detecting the overall key/note of a selected area in wave..

I look fStart from frequency chart, (upper than 4000hz, octave that sounds good) and fine tune fEnd with that boom sound which I get when I slide up tEnd.           ""
