Like Daft Punk, Justice and other French electro artists?
Like this:

Sounds like redux (bit crusher) + vocoder + distortion, but I didn't manage to recreate it in Ableton.

Guessing it Sounds low Squarish with RM editing, to make it more rough. Then automate the speed of the cuttoff LFO.
French electro also has allot of side chaining the kick to the bass.           www.wizanda.com www.soundcloud.com/wizanda

probably what is said. then only
1 recorded sample. (long decay)
manipulated this single wave to time and pitch.
,,by cut and bend

i dont think it very innovative

also i think, a small section of the beginning of the wave was cut on every other note (like evry 4th time).
then just moved it back to start on time.

in the end section of the wave, sometimes sliced shorter , others left longer according to the cell length(time).

actually come to think of it.
that bass sample on its own is already pitching slight down with decay.
he just cuts away a certain amount from the start of the wave and drag it back in time again to sound a lower note.

Almost did it. Used a sampler for this, took a very short part - 1 cycle of a wave, started at upper peak of the wave, ended at lower peak. Combined with a saw-wave. Sounds sick! Now need to automate it. It's great that in Ableton you can automate even the begining and the end of the sample!
