Hi
when i export a project and look at it in a wave editor the whole track is made of triangles, as in their is a peak where the kick comes in and then the picture fades untul it hits the next kick.
when i look at pro stuff it flows, you can see where the kick peaked but it doesnt fade.
why is this? what am i doing wrong?

I assume you're looking at tracks that have been compressed/limited. Don't care so much about how your sound looks, if it sounds good it is good

then you must be the best sound engineer ever. getting a limited looking sound with limiting is absolutely impossible.

a misunderstanding i think,
talolard u get the straight, peak less wave form by limiting and compressing the final mix.
