Sorry if this is wrong, and correct me if it is, but cannot FL be used as a VST plugin in Cubase?
I have worked some with Fruity myself, and I have seen a guy with Samplitude who had fruity as a VST plugin...

yes of course you can and it's very easy!
1: make a midi patern in cubase
2: open your v.s.t instrument list
3: choose fruity loops vsti
4: enjoy!
5: don't forget to asign the same tempo in cubase

You can also "ReWire" FL Studio to Cubase (v.4.5).           ===>

SuperGlue,Cubase SX should "see" FL in the DEVICE PANEL.Choose FL Studio from the panel and you'll see the ReWire panel with 16 channels.Activate them all (or however you need)and Cubase will add the channels to the mixer.Launch FL Studio, open a project, now you can send each channel in FL to one of the 16 "new" channels in Cubase using FL's mixer. Now cubase Transport Bar controls FL too.I ReWired FL to Logic & Sonar but with Cubase I got the lowest CPU...(SuperGlue-tell me how it goes).

yoshie, for cubase SX try this,
Choose a channel, press F11 to bring up the vsti´s, or if you use hardware just choose your output in the Track inspector. To left you will have two dropdown menus, one for input, one for output, if you have loaded a Vsti you can choose the vsti from the dropdown-menu in the "Output" list.

so lets say, Channel 1(midi1) is set to output Synth1, now you just double click in the arrange view next beside to channel 1, here is your empty midi sequence, double click the file(and it will open the key editor, also called pianoroll) and start writing some notes in it...

was this what you asked?
