So I need to re-create the sound of a scene from Easy Rider for a college project.
The one thing I'm having trouble on are these crickets.

I'm almost positive they're synthesized, but I just can't get it right. I've spent a couple of days using Reason's Subtractor, LFOs and FM synthesis and I can get half way, the chirp, but not the way that chirp kind of morphs into that high resonance whistling.
I'm totally stuck on this, that's why I'm resorting to asking something this here. (Although it is a pretty trippy sound) 
Any ideas? |
