Hey guys! i'm back with even more questions!
I know this lead is a preset from Nexus, but!
_BUT_ My mac really hates ReFX, so i can't install it, i always end up with the error message telling me i need to contact ReFX.
But i concider that rude since i haven't actually paid for it yet.

It's the lead supersaw at 3:05 !
I don't remember the preset name from nexus, but i remember it's originally a 1/8 tempo lead.
I'm trying to recreate it in Sylenth but man i suck with mutiple voices + bandpass filters...

I said I like it dirty, not muddy. |

first off - good tune ....
pulse - then automates its width.. pulse width dont think its a saw..
easier done on massive , but can be done with sylenth just not simple using pulse width than it iz on most other - the pulse width give it the impression that its bandpassed also i think as it phases itself out - so it similar i guess and i dont rekon multiple voices is necessary for this one

Or LFO to pulse width then add a nice chorus... youll be happy
i had ago i dont mind doin this because i learn while im doing it (music theory wise) so u help me in return..an example - mayb not your key but the sound of the pulse width with lfo and chorus done in 5mins with massive.

refx works great on mac
if you using the old version just put the Nexus Content some ware in mac then when you load the Nexus in logic pro or any other software it will tell you

Nexus Content\Samples\Rom\0TestTone.nxs
then you will see the Nexus works perfect
if you have a troubles Pm me your Skype i will help you steep by steep to fix refx

| It really sucks, i generally don't like nexus because it's just like sampling.
Retarded untweakable presets. But this sound is very much worth it though.

ah m8 its u..was listen to your stuff the other day on scloud only just realized.....well then im surprised u didnt kno ya self already to be fair as some good tunes u got ....ahh mate u aint been living on nexus forever av ya , u must of known how to do the lead surly by listening to ya stuff...
well then since it u im gunna ask u how u did the lead that in one of your tracks "Sandora" starts from about 3.40 - sort of like a rock guitar synth Disto sqeal and some of the notes got abit of vibrato with abit of rate (classic Anada Shake)..one sound i havnt done yet - got close when i used the Scream 4 Destruction unit but that was a long time ago with reason ..

Hahaha! I haven't had nexus in about two years! For god's sake, pleae don't think my sounds are based on that crappy thing xD Hahaha
I know quite a lot of psy synthesys by now, but i'm not "all that" yet.
>yet.
Oh right! my vibrato lead! i sure love that sound too! In fact i'm using it right now! haha
Okay, so what you do with it, is you make a TB303 sound.
Have no sustain or decay on anything, maybe a little decay on the amp thingy.
Now the main key, is adding overdrive distortion to the sound! I generally use Sylenth1 for everything, i know it's a bad habit of mine, but the sound is just excellent.
Even my kickdrums are made with it.
Here's a quick pic of what it's supposed to look like!
Next on i modulated it by High-passing it wiith a resonance peak added
So! I've been experimenting a bit!
I just threw most of this together today
Am i on the right path for crating that synth?
Or ami i using wrong waveforms and everything? -_-

Just skip it to 3:08 if you care to listen guys, the Intro is also just some dummy stuff..
And to everyone! Thanks for wonderful words and helpful feedback!

haha naa im just joshin wiv ya lol,Thanku mate i knew it was an ultra distorted saw..lovely sound once reached that peak
what for that pulse width sound ?
sylenth does not offer PWM (pulse width modulation)u can do it this way by using 2 identical saw oscillators and inverting one of them. Then use Phase to set the starting point of the modulation and use the Fine knob on one or both oscs to set the modulation speed, u should get fairly close wiv that
good shit by the way "intro is cool also like how yav combined the love for sum classic trance elements as a apart of psy

o_o So that's what PWM stands for, hahaha
Well, i'm not too into depth with Massive yet!
But i'll definitely try it! i own it afterall. I mean, i was gonna do dubstep once, and i couldn't time the wobbles properly so i ditched it. And now my poor massive is collecting dust :C
Your description makes a lot of sense. I can imagine somehow the result!
Also, thanks for your compliment <3 I'm glad you like it, even tho i'm not sure wether to keep or toss still http://soundcloud.com/li-fe

For exemple, if you have one simple saw at 0dbFS.
Put it to -10dbFS and duplicate a few times. then make small changes in each duplicate layer.
Detuning,Phasing, Octave,Mixing volume, Pan, FX etc etc...
Its how i create supersaw.
