Hey Guys, need a little help.
I've been desperately trying to create the following Acid type sound. Not just the sound, but the Midi as well. Any help is greatly appreciated. A tutorial of sorts is even better .
Zebra, Albino, Massive, V-Station or Sylenths1 is best.
What I've tried so far, used a regular SAW wave with a LPF and a BPF with some portamento, but I can't get the smoothness of this sound. The fluidity, the movement. Its all just turns out to be a mess .
Thanks in advanced.

How long have you been making music?
How good are your synthesis skills?

in this thread some says it s a lot about technics and not the tools and it s right, but it s the story of the snake eating is own tail.. it s his tools that learned him these technics.

Been trying to learn synthesis, but I keep making a mess of it. Either the sound is not right, or the Midi is not correct. Any help is appreciated.

Read a lot, practice, and never give up.
You got pretty good answers there at the gs forum.
A word of advice... strop trying to get his exact sound, work with the tools at your disposal to achieve something decent that is actually your creation... why do you want the exact midi?
It is good to learn but don't let this keep you from making some music of your own.

Yeah I know that experimenting is good. But I really learn from examples as well. I am learning synthesis and such, but being able to make the basic sounds would get me closer to my goal.
Thanks for your help.

Now, have fun with velocity and lenght of the notes, and add some portamento ...

I know one way to make hallucinogen sounds is to put an EQ on a sound with a high cut... and then a steep notch with a lot of Q pointing downward, and an automation on the inverse peak.
You should try it on a pad or something with a wide sonic frequency bandwidth.
