Hi!
I understand that it's a kick with a long reverb effect. But just before the kick there is this short reversed sound. Or is the whole kick reversed? :S
would be nice with some explaination

Not quite a boom, but sometimes a little rhythmic punctuation that I like to make is to take a snare and a crash cymbal, stack them, reverb them, pitch them down an octave, then pitch bend them down another octave, and add a touch of delay and reverb after that. Like I said, not quite a boom. But it's a subtle rhythmic punctuation somewhat akin to a boom. If you know what I mean.

. Became confused because my kick did not sound like that at all when i reversed it lol.
