You know the ones that attack on the high frequencies and then sweeps down ending in a bassboost. I know that it definately has to do with sweeping the frequencies down with a highpass filter, and i've been trying out several different things like using filters, then manually automating the EQ as a filter, and so on. I just never end up with those very crisp sounds that you hear on a lot off psy-trance and full-on.
If anyone has some useful tips or even some recipes to try out, then i'd be very thankful.

well i don't have a soundbite ready right now, since i've never ended up using any of them, cause they were crappy sounding. I could try and make one though... I'll be back with a link in a while. Any preferences on where i should host it?

Aarhh, okay. Well Chaplin with infected mushroom for example. Those sweeps that start appearing rythmically in the background at exactly 1:57... They sweep on slightly different frequencies each time, starting very trebled and becoming more basslike, and then moving back and forth between the 2.

Well, listen to that elemtent wich is brought in at exactly 1:57. It's a sound that is pitchsweeping downwards, but at different frequencies each time you hear it. it comes back again in the end of the track at exactly 6:26 and stays in the mix right till the end. The sound is kept in the background, but it is there!
It could also be that you maybe just wouldn't call a sound like that for a sweeping sound, i must admit that calling it a sweeping bass sound was kind of improvised. But the sound sounds like it's being pulled down from the top. Off-course pitching it down like that will give it that effect, but i'm pretty sure they're also doing something with some filters or equalizers or something.
