I was wondering wether it's possible? The problem is I can't play different songs at once (to mix them) because one song eats about 85% cpu. So how can you do a live set/act without a pause between 2 songs? I also tried to play FL studio twice from cubase, but you can only play one version at once so it seems. (playing FL out of cubase does save cpu, which is nice ). And I don't have two pc's, and I can't beatmix...

Most Lives I saw where from sequencer...

I've seen some lives in fruti actually....but there was no big real-time tweaking going on....

But here how they did it...

They had (example) 5 tracks with 10 channels and 10 minutes each

What they did was putting all toguether into 50 tracks and 50 minutes in one project, and then just muting and un-muting some channels during live....pretty simple...also mixing some sounds of diferent tracks into eachother and stuff like that...

Have you checked Ableton Live? You can export your tracks use ableton Live for live act (with some fx samples and stuff like that exported apart to tweak live with fx in ableton)

Ableton Live is a better choice than Fruity Loops for improvising, but if you work with loads of audio, you can restructure your tracks live on fruity loops in a really awesome way (and keep some channels for 'rough' automations and passages). You cannot have all the generators and effects working, BUT, you can turn on the auto-turn-off-or-whatever-you-call-it option on all effects that aren't delays and it'll sound wicked, and turn off all the effects once you stop using them.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Thanks for the tips, but like I said: I can't put it all in one project, there's just too much going on (cpu-wise) and I don't want to render everything cause then the live aspect would be reduced to a minimum. I'll check ableton live... I guess there isn't a way of mixing two FL projects.

To give yoy an idea: my songs consist of 80 patterns, 15-20 efx-groups and cpu is about 85%... so playing one or a few patterns and mute and unmute isn't really possible. The live aspect would be tweaking efx and vsti's with midi control and playing simple synth leads and soundeffects (I can't even put midi out on in FL, otherwise cpu is full...so I have to sync using a hardware sequencer (mc-505).
