How can I plug guitar to a computer ?

I have an electric guitar and I want to plug it to my computer and use it in Cubase. I tried to plug it through the Mic-in and record it in wavelab but its sound bed! you hear the amplifier in the background.. how can I plug it and use it in cubase and VST? |

do not use ur mic in coz u will only get a distorted sound , look for a wav in or aux in or an audio input, except the one that supports microphones if u want to use ur mic input then u have to mic the gituar amp depending on the mics u would also need a preamp in case of a condenser +48v mic......

You can use a Direct Box before pluging to the Input of your card.
The other way is it use the regular input of the soundard, not the mic one, and listen to the signal with a plugin inserted on the channel you will be recording in Cubase, like any guitar amp emulator, amplitube for example. |
