i whant to speed my kik-sequence when there's a little break in my track, like that: kkkk k..k..kkkkkk..k. "tchak"
i use a midi gate but it's not terrible...
if you've got a better thing!? |

You can either automate the volume or the velocity... I seem to have a good experience with doing a velocity trick... Either or will work just as well.

Try combining velocity)volume and pitch changes at the same time, layering your sound (kicks) without overload. Like example: pitch goes up while velocity goes down and at the end vice versa. |

What do you guyz do when compression messes up your drum roll? Do you use another instance of the same drum, or if the compression settings are good, I shouldn't have that problems? Because the volume drops too low when I am using 1/16th or shorter rolls. |

turn down velocity yeah.... and shorten the kicks up, soo they dont break the next kick..
