hi
I'm no Logic expert but I do use Logic Gold 4.8.. Is the andromeda h/w? well if it is I have a Virus B.. You need to create a synth in the environment.. then u can hear/play your h/w synth via the midi tracks.. what I do is record virus to audio then there u can apply vst fx.. Probably there are ways to reroute etc.. and apply vst fx dierectly but I dont know how.. anyway midi traks dont have any direct inserts..
ps/ its good u say its so easy on Cubase as I,m about to cross ship

cheers

OK Setherian,

(I think that you've asked this)
You just have to go to the enviroment, create new audio object, double click it.
On the left of the screen, at the parameters box, you will have Track 1 on the channel. Click & Hold on Track 1, and select the Input Stereo according to where you have your andromeda audio cables pluged (soundcard inputs).
Now, your audio object, is showing the input of your soundcard. Here you can ear the FX in real time.
In my case, when I do this I have to go to my soundcard mixer and put the volume of those inputs down, otherwise I will listen to some chorus effect, but that depends on the card that your using (this won't happen when you arm track to record, and have the input assigned in Logic).

I shure hope this helps you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if I can make this any clearer,

All you need to do is set an audio track for recording audio signal that is coming from your Andromeda synth.

If your andromeda connected to audio 1-2, in Logic mixer u can prolly see Audio 1-2 as the I/O of Audio1 track. Click the red button R to set the audio track for recording, it will ask u where to save a wav file if u gonna record, set the file - and ur allright. Audio1 will be recording live and u will see the meter showing signal coming in, then u can put all the effects u want...

put an effect on audio track 1 if thats the one u use to record the synth...but the best thing to do is to record it and put the fx later!

...this is a great tip if you want to use the FX for a LIVE! in logic let's say with a nord lead whereas you have no effects like Tempo Delay, Phaser, etc...           www.vibramusic.com
