its not trance music, but i really appreciate how clean and punchy the hat sounding thing that comes in around 35 seconds give or take on the upbeat sounds. is he layering more than one gated sound over another and notching their eq frequencies together to reduce clashing and then squashing the audio with a limiter? or how do you get hats to sound that beautiful and clean and tight?

a little bit of panning and scoring and good samples
i hear 2 hats samples
one a bit left and the other right
i think might be a ride on the right pan
a ride with very short decay maybe pitchshifted up or it is a recording of a nail on a bottle of glass coca cola could be he didn't manage to finish he's drink
the left one is just a common hat with lots 3-4 khz or pithchshifted down or it is recording of a guy lighting a spliff

my guess
lol that reminds me of the chapter "magick squares and future beats" in the disinformation book of lies, where it talks about how when you play a sample, even if its just a little snippet of a sample to add to a beat, you are linking everyone that hears it to the moment in time and event that took place in which the sample was recorded.

all i say is there many ways to reach that specific sound and i guess the artist himself can't recreate what he did there again 100%
for sure u don't need to do that complicated way with limiting and nothching for putting 2 sounds together

"it's not trance music"
Not only unnecessary to say, but not necessarily true either

Short reverb on the high hats, bit panning +/- 12% to each side if your using 3 hats leave one in the midle, cut freq at choise below 500hz maybe a bit up depends if you want a lot of body in the hat sound or just his presence in the back ground, add sizzle with eq boosting the high freqs.
You can use a limiter to squash the living hell out of the hats but i would only consider doing that in the off beat hat, you want groove on the others so keep off the limiter add a bit of tube distortion or chorus or a good compressor.
