how big is the israeli scene ???

just wondering...
i've heard from people that in your country , trance is bigger than metal or hip hop ....
in my country , it is soooooooooooo small.......
here hip hop is the king of everything, everybody wich is cool listen to hip hop....
there is probably like 2000 french listening to trance in the whole country.....
so how is it really ??
and is that true that infected mushroom is golden album in israel ?? (that means 50 000 copies or 100 000 copies sold, i don't remember....but it's huge!!!! there is probably 100 copies sold in france  )

Well, comparing to other scenes in here, yes, the trance scene is pretty big and it's getting bigger and bigger every year.
and telling you the truth -- I don't know if I like it like this or not.
Too many unlikable people are listening to psytrance and kinda spoil the scene.
I don't know about IM's album, but I think it is a golden, after all it's full on and even people who do not listen to psytrance regulary bought this CD, because infected mushroom are catchy and easy-listening comparing to other psytrance artists.

i think the scene in israel is quite small comparing 2 the main stream, though larger then other countries (proportionaly of course). by numbers i'm sure there r more french people listing 2 trance than in israel.

olli , i'm sure you are wrong about the number of french listening to trance......
here it is very hard to organize a party with more than 500 people , because nobody listen to trance....
everybody is in hardcore or house... sad but true

Most coutries.. well atleast finland have huge clubbing scene.. but that's not really trance, but hard trance, house and so on..
so I guess it about how you define trance how big a nation's scene is..

The Israeli psy scene numbers at least 10000 people... most of them don't show themselves a lot of the time though - so you still get 1000+ people parties only once every few weeks.

Its much more than 10000.
I say the Electronic Music scene in Israel is very big. Many people in Israel like Hip hop, Rock, Pop, not all Israeli people like trance(many hate it).
Lets say that there are more people in Israel that listen to electronic music(trance, house...) than any other type of music. When I left Israel 5 years ago(the end of 97') the trance scene was MUCH smaller than it is right now. The electronic music secene starts to grow everywhere, not only Israel.

the biggest proof for the size of the scene here was shawn in the first trance demonstration in tel-aviv in which there was a crowd of around 40000 people and not everyone showed up (mostly the people who were travelling which is also a very big number)
