I spent a while making this bassline last night and I was curious if you guys liked. I have no idea where to take it from here either as its just an a minor chord so far lol. i'm trying to get better at this technical stuff.

You can watch cosms video . I took his resampling method in ableton and used it in FL. I sampled the bass using different distortions and cutoff frequencies. then let a plain sawtooth ride fx clean while i played these resampled clips over top of it.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

i really think the little annoying sound that goes along the whole way should be isolated more.. and put reverb on, if it is allready put some more and give it its own space... and lower the volume of it.. try and limit the frequency span of it.. i hope you get my drift

di di didle di di di didle didi that sound..

yeah thats the resampled bass. i should turn them down and do something to make them stand out more. someone posted a cosm tutorial in another thread about how he resamples then mixes his loops up to get glitchy and other unique loops. so i tried that with my bass in this track.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

I think its cool as it is but adding proper bass to sit under would do a great good to the loop

There is proper bass sitting under it all. As I stated I had a normal bassline that played all throughout which was low passed. The resampled bass plays on top of it the exact same pattern with a different sound every beat or so.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

Seppa - what you mean with proper bass? its a square wave kind of bass that is there,

maybe you refer to a sawtooth bass?
maybe you should try that dija? might sound good

i still think what i think and its not cool as it is.. narrow it down and give it its own space.. at least try it out

there is a saw bass underneath it all. its quite audible although the other bass samples do need to come down.

dunno , to me it a bit sounds thin , good for intro or break maybe .. im not fond of bass tricks in psytrance .. it should hit hard and in the same place every time , procs is an exception tho , would anyone know how he goes bout it ? if so , pls post here , i know ppl don`t take kindly to `xxx artist bassline .. how` threads here lately

I meant you need proper bottom end it feels like there isnt much stuff under 100 -80Hz... Try layer a bass to sit under like saw wave. try the cronox2 or the esm their sawtooth fit everywhere with little equing... otherwise if you want something even phatter use my favourite sylenth1 saw tooth .You'll have to eq quite a lot though.

That or try eq the kick to add more bottom end. Thing is as its dance music the bottom end is a must.
