how can a DJ, not an artist or a remixer, but a regular, yet professional dj, use a groove box?
say the dr. groove, or the su/dx200?
and is it realy worth it?
i mean isnt it easier and cheaper to use the red sound cycloops for sampling and the alesis air-fx for effecting? |

well
i played with groove box for few days ...
basiclly it's a great tool which lets you play
few paterens from the banks there
i guess you can upload your own banks which makes it a small sampler
what exactly you want 2 make ?
what kind of music ? |

well the name groovebox says it all
if u use it with dj'ing its like djing with loop machine that adds more groove into the sets
u can build u'r own loops and use them in mixes
build u'r own groves, drum's,percussions and mix them into the tracks u play
like killing the bass line from track and let the machine play bass lines for example
its bit hard to get used to it but its fun
half artistic sets
i say give it a try
P.S. factory presets usualy sux but building u'r own preset is easy on grooveboxes
