As far as i tryed to made the waves c1 sc work in logic i have assumed that it's not so easy like in cubase.
But it's possible.
"The problem: Waves plugins do not have a sidechain input.
Their solution: They abuse one of the two channels of a stereo plugin for the control (sidechain) signal. That leaves you with a sidechainable mono path.
(Real solution: Use plugins that have an actual sidechain input...)
How to make the Waves hack work in Logic:
- Two signals, BD and Bass, on two channels.
- BD channel goes via pre Send to a separate bus (key1) and via out routing to Main Stereo Bus.
- Bass is panned hard right, goes via out routing to another bus (key2)
- Set up an Aux with key2 as input, Waves Comp SC followed by a Dirmixer set to Base = 0, and out to Main Stereo Bus.
- Set up another Aux with key1 as input, pan hard left and out to key2.
Done."
