Anybody know where i can piut m mix up? Is ostly stuff from Timcode, Beyond logic and Nexus Media... less thn 80 minuts in mp3 format... |

I it illegal sheesh then alot of pople on this foum are in trouble... as far as I know from speaking to a number of labels as ong as it is a continous mix not cut p into seperate songs itis not illegal? And i doubt the labels will spend the money to chase me down anywhoo hehe |

actually, it is illegal. when sites like chaosunlimited.co.uk etc. put mixes up, they actually have to contact the labels and pay for each track that is in the mix. it doesnt matter if its mixed, its still illegal to host is for free download. but you are probably right, chances are you wont get busted for it.... |

Colo didn;t know that... so demomixes I sned ou ton cd to local promoters to get gis are illegal as well? even though I have paid for all the original tracks? What about dj;ing at gigs? Technically that's public performance so....
not being sarcastice, I'm really keen to hear on this... |

well, i think that shoutcast.com has some info about making a 'live' streaming from their servers....
Of course there will be limitations as far as the quality transmited and the listeners at the same time... but u should give it a try

I think the illegal act is to give the possibility to the audience to download the sounds (mixes or tracks) with out Artists approbations. When I said “download” I mean save the sounds files into the computer.
If you buy the tracks (release CDs) and mix them into one single sound (with out the original starting and ending + Blanc between).you have the right to play it back as listening sounds performance.
Other wise all the Djs in the world will act illegally when performing front of thousand of people.
Streaming sounds is like radio. You are able to listen it, you can’t save the files and not suppose to record via your sounds system.
Well, no one can stop you to record the sounds coming out of your speaker, but then you know that the records you made is illegal and the quality will be low compare to the original.
To streaming a full track, of course if is not your creation you should and need to ask to the actual compositor.
About place where you are able to host and stream your mixes or tracks with out give the possibility to save it on computer.
