Fluid Audio is a record label promoting the very best electroacoustic musicians from around the globe. We will be up and running in the new year with our first release being a free download entitled “Hopeâ€, a Project consisting of eight artists: James Murray, Iambic, Ishq, Ben Beiny, Halogen, Hybernation, Snakestyle and Playb.
Each artist has been asked to compose a piece that expresses the following:
“Although we are living in a world of injustices, where the rich get richer, and those in need get left behind, there is an inherent hope in those who suffer the most. Where people have the least, they seem to value the most, the simple things that others take for granted. There are those who appreciate the beauty and awe of the world, and what is has to offer, in a way that those disconnected from the true meaning of life have lost. In some, there is a spark of light that no corrupt power can extinguish. Despite the negativity that we are all faced with in life, the human spirit can always overcome. Whether this is in the innocent laughter of a child, the compassion shown from one suffering human being to another, or through the creative translation of emotion into sounds sent to soothe or images formed to inspire, the joy of life is communicated all around us - we just need to open our hearts to it.â€
"Hope" will be available in February 2009.

This looks like being a truly beautiful release. Love the concept behind it, especially as it will be free!
Just checked the myspace site and if all the tracks end up like james murray's we are in for a real treat! Also just checked some of the other artists involved and must say haven't heard of some of them but there music is very cutting edge! |

A logical progression to see fluid radio expanding in this way. Especially as I know you are keen to promote fresh up n coming talent.

Many thanks for the supportive words guys.
A quick update on this project:
There has been a change of plan regards to the Hope album...
After careful consideration we have decided to make the release a purchasable product that will be available as a cd and also digital download.
I know this was not the original concept (free download), but there is good reason behind it...
We would like 50% of purchase sales to go to the children's charity Bernardos. You can read more about the charity here:

We feel that this would fit in perfectly with the theme of the album and is a more proactive way of demonstrating it. A kind of walking the walk as well as talking the talk if that makes sense.
The other 50% will go to covering the costs of making the cd's and distribution, and hopefully if we break even, paying the artists who have agreed to be involved in this project!

I think it's a beautiful concept, always good to know that there is some good left in these dark times...
the samples sounds beautiful !
and the photos are very beautiful and powerful as well.
i hope they will be in the booklet that comes with the CD ?

Yes the photos will be included in the packaging which will be 100% ethically produced.
Also just been in contact with Hol Baumann and he will be contributing a new track to the album.
