i have krk rp5 in my office (well, not actually office - production studio specializing on TV and radio advertisment) - well, they do their job great. but the sound quality demands for advertising are a bit lower than there are in music making. i use them as secondary check after my home studio monitors (Tannoy Reveal Active)

i wouldn't mind a pair of BM6a's, but i definately dont have the moolah for that. I'm wanting something that'll have good sound quality for not a lot of moneys.. i had a friend get a pair of Alesis M1 MKII's, but dont know if it's worth it. I'm new to all this, and want the most bang for the buck if you're pickin' up what i'm layin' down. Unless one or more of you good folks wanna send a pair my way

yes take a look at the samson rubicon 5a's they have ribbon tweeters and got good reviews from audio engineers over most others in their range.

hey guys!

what about those small speakers, so you can travel and have a complete setup in your bag, like the

edirol MA-15D
ESI nEar05
ALESIS M1 ACTIVE 520

the edirol seems to be the lightest in weight.

i would be real cool to just have a bag with
Laptop
Audio interface
small midi keyboard
Speakers
headphones
a drum or guitar
and some microphones.

though this will be alot to carry, damn i want to get totaly portable.
