Wow, to see some of these comments really disheartens me. The comments that have been made by some in this thread really make me see that discrimination still exists in many forms, and I would've thought that this would be the LAST place that I would see something like that in. I can understand that people have their views about homosexuality, however is discriminating against them for their life choices any different than me discriminating against someone of Jewish decent for their life choice? Or someone discriminating against me for the reason of my ethnic origins? Come on guys, nobody can help who they are, and people shouldn't have to keep how they live their lives confined to the privacy of their own homes. I can respect everyone's religious beliefs and personal feelings, but nobody should have to live in hiding because of their personal practices.
I am certain that many Israelis would have a fit if someone came on here yelling about how Jewish people don't need to walk around wearing their Yarmulke and openly celebrating their faith, as would I have a fit if someone had done the same.
You know, for such a global culture that was supposedly built on peace and understanding and Unity, it almost shocks me that people would act this way. It just goes to show that enlightenment can't be ingested and it doesn't come in cd format.

wow, i am completely shocked by some people's blatant disrespect. I guess i shouldn't be shocked that these homophobic and other types of attitudes still exist.
Whatever, if someone else's sexuality bothers you than look the other way. It is not your place to tell people what is "right" or "wrong".
The original request was quite simple, to not use terms such as "gay" in a negative way, something that bothers me as well. I've also heard people use other terms such as "jew" in a negative way, not on this forum however. Anyway, we should choose our words carefully and with respect. Not that we shouldn't be allowed to speak our minds, but we should do it with the respect of others in mind.

Coming from someone who wants to ban another user just for an opinion he's having this sounds rather useless. I don't share Ron's opinion maybe, but whatever you may think of it, it is still an opinion, nothing more. He's not personally assaulting people.
And about the world: been living under a rock?? Open your eyes... see the world as it is, a great place to live in sometimes, and at other times a shitty place. And like a wise someone once said: You can't ignore the bad times, cuz how can you know the good times if you've never had the bad?? Pity the shitty side is taking over a lot of people these days...

To Ron Lyner, well you ended up yer last post with a 'dont be mad.. read carefuly and try to understand what im saying', so yeah .. I read it carefully, I tried to understand but I still think that I need to clarify and point out few things.
So, lets start from the beggining, you said that 'this is not natural'. Homosexuality is as natural as heterosexuality, deal with it. Nothing wrong seeing a guy kiss a girl on the street and I think that same goes for gays. If you dont like it, you can always turn your head and not look. The fact that they are not like you does not make them freaks of nature, it only makes them 'not like you'.
As for the 'Im gay and Im proud' tshirts and the pride parades - the reason for this is the existance of people like YOU Ron. I bet that if our society wasnt such narrow-minded and xenophobic, you would see much less of those things happen.
As for someone saying on the TV that having sex with men is better than having sex with woman .. Thats called 'Freedom of Speech', nothing wrong about it as well. Now, for the ( as Ron calls them ) 'The real gay people who are ashamed of the fact that they are gay' .. Lemmie ask you a question, are you ashamed of being an heterosexual? no? Then why the F should they be.
And as for (those that Ron defined as 'Fake gays') how they dress/walk/talk or whatever. Everyone has the right to dress or act however he wants, if you dont like it you have the option not to do it by yourself. Otherwise, as someone already mentioned in this thread, Live and let live... simple as that.
Oh, and in just case you were wondering
No, Im not gay.

i think ron (and others) suffer from lack of education and banning him in this casemight not work because it wont bring him any closer to understanding and being educated regarind this or anything and being more open minded toward others.

The difference is that gays don't like homofobs because homofobs discriminate/hate/whatever them. Homofobs on the other hand don't like gays cos they're living in the stone age/have a bad education/are full of hate. Yeah that's the difference.
