Hey guys, let's not take this soooo Hard.
I think if you all cool down a little it will become more clear (at least I hope so) that no one here is superior or inferior...
Also this thread is not that much trance-related, OK, it somehow is, the need to talk about it arose, so let's expose our opinions, but let's not fight each other here...
I get really sad when I see people fighting here... This is not what we want... We want to be free to express our ideas, always respecting other's opinions.
All these discussions about natural, unnatural, better, worse, etc... are so subjective... I think we, everyone here, already reached the conclusion that no one here is inferior as a human being...

i personally have not seen homophobia at psytrance parties...there maybe people who say he/she is gay/homo/fag or that track is so gay throw in an insult or two..but we insult everyone irrespective of their sexuality
no one complains when someone says
MOTHER FUCKER at party or FUCKING HICK
whats wrong with saying Fucking Faggot...its just verbal slur an insult....DJs and artists have been abused and sometimes things are thrown at them at parties i dont see them complaining...we call Skazi all sorts of things hes not complaining....
its not like gays have been beaten up at PSYTRANCE PARTIES or have been refused entry.
as far as the original post by pax goes...he spoke of an incident that happend at Frat party which has absolutely no connection with psytrance.
Insulting people is not a crime
everyone is subjected to insults somewhere along the way....its quite pointless to tell someone to stop calling people names cause its not gonna change a damn thing

as to how this relates to the scene..
i haven't noticed any overt homophobia at parties - but then again I haven't seen a lot of gay people at parties either. And I also think a lot of people who are inserting homophobic comments in this thread are young kids. Usually as people grow up, they become more accepting of others - it's a natural process, imo. Especially for a fringe crowd like psytrancers.
but for a 16 year old kid, having grown up in a traditional environment and just starting to get out into the world, it's only natural to view gays, who are most definitely "alien/other" as different, unnatural, and threatening.

Some of the comments posted here make me sick to my stomach and frankly I have to disagree with the decision to open this thread again. Yes, people are expressing their opinions but some are doing so in a way that objectifies and demoralises other human beings for no other reason than the somewhat arbitrary one of prefering same-sex relationships. Who in their right mind gives a crap and who's bloody business is it anyway?? I mean twenty-two pages people...come ON!

Nope, not funny, but it goes to show some people (like OTT) are taking this up way too seriously.
@OTT: have you ever considered there maybe 1000's of gay bashers enjoying your music? After all, music is made for everyone. And let me tell you something else OTT. If you're one of those musicians that has a certain audience in mind while making the music instead of just making it and hoping anyone can enjoy it, you deserve my immediate disrespect. Dividing someone to groups whether it's homosexuals or ones who can't accept them is the same thing from my point of view. You still need to accept others and doesn't matter if they are dominant or not. What OTT had said is childish and remind me of Elysium's acts when both of them already past their 30's to have such a behavior even as joke.

BUT you haven't said you don't like Tiesto and let's go to other style, you started to call Teisto names when you haven't heard 100% of his works while some of them really great, especialy chillouts/breaks.
