something that ZeRo said in another thread prompted me to write this

im writing this because ive noticed a huge difference playing music at home vs playing music at a club (unfortunately as of yet , ive yet to play music outdoors) .
it first occured when i bought the noma lp . i played it at home and was very disappointed. however i played a few tracks at a club and heard the bass and a new dimension had been added . and it gave the music a new "fullness " that was lacking before . most of the music i have , i feel can only be fully appreciated on a big sound system .

i still love to listen to music at home and always do but im not so quick to judge a track until ive heard it LOUD..with lots and lots of bass.

there trance for home... and there r tracks i wouldn`t enjoy at home but they kill in a party... for me it`s easy... if it makes me dig in my room like crzay.... and all i need to do is close my eyes and i see a party than it`s one of those....
if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

Its a completelly diferent thing

Some tracks are great at home, but at the dancefloor they don't do such a great job...

Some tracks are also not very interesting at home, but at a party they rock!

Thats one of the reasons I respect Logic Bomb so much I think their music rocks in both places, but in a diferent way, its quite a calm experience when u listen at home, but its a Bomb in a dancefloor!

yep. . .my favorites are the ones that do it for me in both settings. thats the sign of a really amazing trak for me.

i love that feelin when you throw on an album in your room with 3 friends and my (relatively)shitty sound system and we all end up stomping like it was the end of the world. ohmannnn i love that. then when you hear that trak on the dancefloor you scream and yell and jump up and down and thats what trance is all about.

Great albums work at home and on great sound systems. That's why mastering can be so expensive.

if i enjoy a track in a party i would enjoy it at home aswell (if not at first or second time than on third time).

pascal feos makes techno - it will sound shite at home, but on a large system with a lot of bass, all of a sudden his tracks just sound TOTALLY different.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

imo good production should be good for home listening and should bang on the big system too

Most of the time my speakers at home end up having a better sound than the ones I get on the chill out floor at our parties so it's a lot better to listen to chill out music at home for me           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records
