Hey there!
I have finally gotten to treat my room. Primacoustic panels (the thin ones) wich I covered with some nice batik, and home-made basstraps.
Basstraps are 60 cm wide, 16 cm deep and about 122cm high. Used a slab of rockwool (57*15*120cm) per trap. Theres in total 8 basstraps (2 in front right corner, 1 in front left corner, 1 behind each speaker, 1 between front wall and floor (you cant see that one so clearly on the pics) plus 2 in the right back corner.

I havent done any sweeping tests yet, but I can allready hear MASSIVE improvement. The bass is much more present in the mix position, less bass close to walls, improved stereoimaging, and less fatiguing.
I can still hear some reflections from the left-back part of the room wich is still quite reflective (its the kitchen part, so not so much room for normal sized traps. I will fit in 2 more traps there tough, just gotta buy more materials)

So here are some pictures! This is where I make my music, and also where I live! (yep, its all in that room, gotta prioritize )

That looks great! I'm moving house in the summer for that reason exactly, to have a room that I can treat.

Those pics make me even more impatient

very nice work
for the side reflections, if you cannot put them on the wall make them with stands like these http://www.realtraps.com/p_stand.htm , should save you space and can be placed wherever you want
nice room too, wide

I going to hang them the same way I hung the panels between the basstraps in the front, on special metal impalers about 8cm from the wall. Just gotta get more materials

Great Fraggle, looks really nice. I am counting the days until I will move into a new house, with one room for nothing but sound! Your pictures gave me great input as to how to treat the room without spending too much $. Thanks man!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:
