If i had to choose three then i would choose....
Astral Projection first of all because there are the main reason that most of us know today psychedelic trance music and because tracks like Mahadeva,People Can Fly,Kabalah and Power Gen are just trance anthems.
Juno Reactor second because they are by far the best band out there and true pioneers of electronic music in general.
Simon Posford with all his side projects for being a real innovator in whatever he does,a true legend indeed.
These three artists are for me the holy trinity of psychedelic trance.
Other people like Etnica,Transwave,Electric Universe,Total Eclipse,Koxbox,X Dream,Atmos and more have offered a lot to the scene but i still think that they are one step behind from the three names mentioned before.
In any case huge respect to all these people that helped the psy trance music during the times.

1. Chakra and Edi Mis-creators of "The Promised Land" which was released in 1996.
The first Astral Projection album was released when? In 1997? Never mind that, Chakra and Edi Mis are one of my choices because the really made a BOOM with their CD.
2. Infected Mushoom - for introducing a style that CAN NOT be pulled off by any other psytrance artist. I could never imagine someone else doing what IM have been doing for years.
3. SUN Project-as one of my favorite live acts. They are able to find balance between darker elements and the very of psychedelic sounds and fuse them together. The raging guitars in their music is like a cherry on top a nice, delicious psychedelic cake

i think we cannot specify the holy trinity of goatrance because there are a lot of artists who contributed with their work and all of them deserve to be apostles of goa trance =) |
