Just got my mits on the new MMD Records V/A and all I can say is "WHO IS HIYARANT!?!?!" as far as i know he is not south african. the 2 tracks on the cd are immense and awesome! like NRS/RAM but with a unique twist.

Yo Zakesm..
Hiyarant is Stuert Vermark, and very much South African. He and Dale do the turbo sound rig and can often be found hangin out behind the DJ box making sure the sound is KILLER!!!!!!!!
Anyway, expect very big things from this new producer.. he also has a project with Dale and another talented musician named James called Smugjuggler, look out for this name in the future too.

oh BTW laurence the cd rocks - i had to smuggle a copy from someone who had it while he was cooking dinner but i swear i will buy it (like i buy 90% of SA releases).
and when can we expect to hear a dj set/live set from meneer vermark? |

The entire months of July and August have gone without even a whisper of anything from Hiyarant whats going on?

dont worry man .. hiyarant is alive and kicking!!! his new tunzz blew the dancefloors away wen i played them in israel!!!! look out for upcoming releases from this extremely talentd guy on mmd soon, also look out for Smug Juggler trax also set for release on mmd!!

for sure 1 of the next talent from underground cape town city  the 2 tunes from the Erratic V/a are rocckkking specialy number 4 
and when zion played here i can herad what his Hiyarant sound cause he hav his own sound and fx wicked trippy sounds from this guy waiting for more upcoming release from him and his other project as all MMD Rec releases

Whoever this dude is, im sure his music can slaughter a dancefloor in the morning. Just heard his vs. with FrozenGhost. My god its destructive. I want to hear more like this please!!! Super intelligent beats. Just when i though the SA sounds had become banal and boring, i stumble upon this. Great stuff  |
