More Viking!

I have seen quite a few backdrops with viking motives on parties in sweden years ago.
One classic on the parties in örebro was one with shiva and oden playing chess where you got a bit of both.

One reason i guess is that not so many is making backdrops themself anymore and buying them in bali instead, where you get the regular aliens and hindu stuff.

I'm sorry to say that every psy-party that i'v been to, has been without 'Viking decoration' .. But i love the hindu style, its just that i would like to see the 'Viking' style as well.

*tripp tripp* Are there any *Viking inspired psyartists btw?

Think of the great spirits and characters..
Loke, Tor, Odin, Frøya, Brage, Siv (and so on).. The Middle earth viking gods (Norse Mythologie)

And the Mushrooms: Fluesopp (Fly Ageric) and Fleinsopp (PSILOCYBE SEMILANCEATA)

*Remember that the Vikings discovered North America*

That sounds really cool with Oden and Shiva in the same backdrop. Ever got hold of whoever made it?           'The best way to predict the future is to invent it.'

Mmmmm... I feel called to make some of those. Awesome idea dude. Oden and Shiva is the same... jus diff names. I am just into gettin more familiar with the Nordic Mysticsm, some how the Indian flavour has a more vibrant touch but who says the Nordic is not?

I'll start today.

Don't know who made it.

And Suprani:
And I think also that the old mythological systems is very much the same in scandinavia (or nordic countries + denmark...nm you know what i mean), and India.

Why the hindu mythology is more vibrant is that it's actually living still.
There is a few people that consider them self followers of nordic 'asa-tro', but if you try to really find out about viking mythology you are pretty much dependent on snorre sturlason.
Beware that he was a christian writing for the church about how viking mythology should be taught.
Therefore he was heavily biased, and trying to portray vikings as wild savages, with a mythology mostly made up of war and fighting stories.
The real mythology has pretty much gone lost.

Yes, I know man, I will do my best to find the true stories.. as always, my own truth. Haha. And you know if one has got some kind of inisight or experience in the Hindu mythology or what ever it might be.. it all speaks of the same so mebbe one can find one's own path to the Nordic Gods without any books? Haha. All energy and vibration...

My birthname is an entity of Freja, so I know her pretty well. Been exploring her a lot . Always a pleasure finding new keys.

true... the viking couldent write, so alll storys about them (or most of them) are written by monks who got plundred and possible raped by viking, so ofcourse the storyes have been flavoured, to make it more significant that vikings are brutes who dont follow the "normal" ethics...

Actualy some years ago i read a book on viking archeology and in south america they found a viking ship on the bottom of the sea, and on the ship was a bucket with copper decos of odin (oden) and also there was aum signs... so the mythologys might have been made from the same basics...
(as have all religions)

The vanes (vanerne) came from kaucasus, and brought there religion to the nordic countrys
(includes freja and frej)and some archeologists think that its first after the melting of the two religions that odin got named odin...so somehow the sound aum and the name odin could be connected...

well its mostley just archeology, and all archeology is based on the facts and theory... so if it adds up it must be true even due to lag of evidence...
But thats just archeology....

and human come from apes they say.... HA
