Is it necesseary to pay a lot of money for visiting Himalayas? How much does it cost and isn't it allowed to go on yourself?
How much money do you need atleast to go for a trip to the roof of the world? I heard like around 70.000 DOllars (SHOK) ..
I think my father in his 20s paid not much more than just the way to Nepal. Times have changed.. Any info on that matter would be nice.

Hey there buddy,
actually Himalayas need 1 of the least amt of money to do treks, unless you want to scale anything above 5000mts
there are too many treks in the Himalayas so u've to narrow ur search thing for me to guide you with specifics
Here are some pics to give u gist of the diffrent types of valleys in the Himalayas

It wud be better if you can zero down on which valley you want to do & the time you want to spend on the holiday
the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!! |

p.s. I postponed Himalaya again...The last time I took a longer journey up there was seven years ago. Since then I only waited for the moment when I will have enough money and at least 6 free weeks to do it again. Now I have both, and I decide not to go. Not to leave my friend alone...
...Wish I would do it...The sooner - the better.

sure smoke a lot thank you for your great input and all those lovely pictures I once saw them already tbh.. very impressive all this beautyful nature. It's one of my inner desires to have such an expirince someday too.
At that moment here life changed dramaticaly, dunno if really for the good, I have 3 regular jobs and have also clients and work as teacher. I got no free day, maybe 2 days in a monts. Its like one free afternoon a week. For atleast 6 months I cannot make a journey.. but than someday I will for sure. I will make better thaughts about it and maybe hit you back for asking you..thank you again.
Moki please make pictures if you're there and let us see them. I wish you a special expirience! ...ah now I understand better.. I was reading too fast. Maybe you go there at another time? Wish you a good time.

i continue looking for a group to go there with in the spring. it is kind of strange that the travelling agencies that interest me (because they offer a cultural or a spiritual trip) cost up to 5000 euro for ten days for exactly the same route and even similar hotels. yes, difficult to find to right thing. till then i stay home surrounded by three forests, two sees, a big river and one of the biggest ports in europe, observing the cruisers and dreaming for the things i wanted to do in life but did not .
but i am keeping an eye at groupon for the next spring offer for 14 days tibet and 800 euro. the comments of people who done it are really nice.
