First of all, we're not used to expect music coming from Finland to sound like this. Acctually, it’s more global than coming from a particular place. Having a timeless touch to it, the Highpersonic sound is a mixture of full-on crunchy beats and psygressive groovy rhythms.
This is the tracklist:
1. Wunderbaum
2. Piece of cake
3. Des Pudels Kern
4. E.T.FM
5. Standard procedure
6. Clone collective
7. Wormhole
8. Easy does it
Brief xpla-nations about the tracks:
1. The opening track has the same name as the infamous stincking tree. The track is fast, loaded and crunching forward. Psychedelia growing, blooming and fading in-and-out.
2. Piece of Cake is one of the most psygressive tracks on the album. Revealing a retrodelic melody in the end part of the track makes it a superb choice for the morning dance floor.
3. The Pudels Kern. The balanced energy here is unexpressable by words. A born classic. When the break ends, the powerful "kick in" stage is an earth shaking mind bender.
4. This is a fat spacey journey through well mixed soundscapes. “No matter what else the Aliens might be doing, they’re probably using a lot of Radio”. Candy for the ears.
5. Standard Procedure is the most progressive track on the album. Deep and hypnotic. Simple turns and rolling steady upwards. Morning glory or Evening beats.
6. The Clone is Scandinavian Trance as we know it. Growing in harmony and moving towards the bliss point. Happiness as in the experience of the midnight sun phenomenon.
7. The Wormhole starts from a progressive stage. Moving into a psygressive area and ending up as a Crazy Atom that has become conscious of itself.
8.The closing track is simple Beauty with a capital B. Dub shaken with a twist of slow beat trance. A perfect ending for a album. The sound quality of Highpersonics is top-notch whatever the style may be.
Bottom line: Worth to give it an ear or two. An interesting debut album and for sure not the last one. Highpersonics bring a fresh breeze into the global party scene.

ive just got it and to be totally honest i dont really like progressive trance BUT i like this alot and 'may' end up loving it!
well worth the price!!
but to all those who love it wacky and finnish

I know their music for something like 1 - 1.5 years and let me tell you that this album is something that everybody have to get it.

After hearing these tunes in parties for many many many times they still make my legs shake! Somehow Highpersonic Whomen manages to create this "hell like" atmosphere! It's a real killer, you almost want to kill your self while being under influence and listening these tracks. Killin' yourself is ofcourse not too good thing, but that's not exactly what I ment..

This one i guess is to remind all those who forgot ( including me ahmmmm  ) what psychedelic trance is all about.. Definitely a mind opener - gonna stay in my cd for a while for sure.. Go and get it!

Yep Yuli, you just put it in the best words. This is delicious psychedelic trance- we had a nice session last night and gave it a double listen and it's just a joy.

Highpersonic Whomen (AKA Haltya Project), with the surprise album of 2002, that arrived in the last moments of the year. People! We're talking about the album that puts the psy into trance again, as a good friend of mine said. A diverse musical experiment that has it all: originality, liquidizing music that will take you to another dimension, great atmosphere, stories, feel and emotions. In short, good psychedelic trance the way it should be. HPW are breaking and melting the borders of the different trance genres, which is just as good as this music was always not about genres. Its all here, the more pushing Wunderbaum & Clone Collective, the killer hit that will always get the floor spacing- Des Pudels Kern, with one of the best breaks I heard the last year, the dripping liquidish E.T. FM & Wormhole, the hypnotizing Standard Procedure, and the beautiful penetrating melodic twist of Piece of Cake. And in the end it's Easy Does It.
