I was experimenting different noises with my freind Albert this weekend and found that really high pitched sounds could produce really special effects while the mind is in an altered state (induced legally of curse ;0).
Nothing really musical here but I just wanted to share this for experimentation (dont listen to it too loud as it goes really high in pitch at the appogee, and keep your dog away of your speakers).

haha ...nice. is this out of a softsynth? I guess its everything that makes it sound that way- delays, cut off, Lfos
"Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth."
Neo: "What truth?"
Spoon Boy: "There is no spoon." |

Hi! I never tried to go as high with a soft synth.
Not sure if it's possible.
The only vst used is the delay.
The sound is from my analog modular synth.
You can hear all those analog imperfections that make this sound interresting (to my ears).

Interesting stuff. I once heard such a high pitched drone that it almost start to bleed my ears.
Try this- take a flat sustained loop of a very high pitched string. Stutter it in a very very short intervals. make the popping of sound appear really fast. Put no effects at all. Try it in headphones. |
