Well i think that it doesn't matter at all the velocity of a track, but in my expirience i have notice that is a matter of feelings and points of views, because for the people who likes psychedelic trance don't like house or progressive because they just don't feel it in their frequency or beat and the oposite for those who likes house or electro AND the same for all kind of music and all kind of persons.
I have listened to psy tracks that really changed my life for good and when i see that the bpms are higher of what i imagine is where i say:
I don't know a shit!..whatever, i love it!!!

Hmmm, apparently the bpm is important to the artist. When looking at the new tracks section, many artists use the bpm in the topic headline. Why is that, does it improve the dl ratings?           For the TT beliver: www.techtrance.2tunes.com

Lets go back and look at the roots of this music. Tribal people would play there drums for days on end, and shamans would dance to trance, so they can communicate with spirits.

I wonder what kind of bpm they would play at. Maybe a slower bpm would achieve this deep trance state more effeciently?

Its the subtle changes in the melodic sequences that produces deep states of trance. I have to say that alot of high bpm trance that ive heard doesnt achieve this.

IMO I love all the different bpm's you get in trance music but if you wanted to recieve a more intense trance, then maybe a slower bpm would be more preferable??

Thats not to say that a deeper trance means you enjoy it more, just that its more intense state of mind and thats what i like >:D

High bpm equals to Psychedelia imho as my exp after 10 years in this scene.
Even thou I found Prog and tech trance in the right place in the party, true psychdelic exp lies only there.
