who are these peeps? are they a band? i see that exogenic will be releasing a remix cd of their song 'violently hippy', and i think the Haltya boys did a remix of one of their songs too...

anybody know anything else?

They are a psyrock band (who do use a lot of synths). You can download their first album (whole tracks) and samples of their second at http://www.hidriaspacefolk.st

BTW Violently Hippy isn't a song, it's just the name of the complilation. They have remixed several tracks.
