so far:
synths - FM7 (for clarity and accuracy) and Absinth (for wackiness)
sampler - Battery (ease of use)
bass - Tau

and to think that not too long ago we were using the ts404...

reaktor is a killer, weird analoh-digital=insane sound, but quite a headache...
but afterall, worth a shoy.
i think it's the most verstile VSTi there is.           "The Blues is'nt about making you feel better. It's about making others feel worse, and make a few bucks while you're at it." - "Bleeding gums" Murphey.

i second that, reaktor is the most versatile (still the only VSTi that u can assign any idi controller to any control) and it is only as complex as the ensemble u r using, and you can customize the panel to show only the controls that u want to use (saving space on your screen)

battery is the drum sampler of choice (i found kontakt too complicated - i'd rather use halion if you want to pitch samples, or ex24 (if u use logic you're sorted, but i've heard the VSTi ain't that good - u can't create samplebanks, only use them... doh!!!)
