Hi there you Australians.
I have a few questions for you.
I´m thinking of moving to Austarlia for 6 months and to practice in a store or something and i wonder if it´s hard to find a place to live that is not too expensive. Do you have any suggestion of a city that is nice, preferable by the sea and a somewhat big town 
And i also wonder if it´s hard to get a gig in Australia if you come from Sweden or in general?

near the sea...big town!!!!!
quite easy to find work
quite easy to find somewhere to live
in regards to expensive - its ok, depends on where you want to live and the quality of the place you are happy to live in

Yeah i'll second that one.
Its the mecca for Psytrance in Australia at the moment (some may disagree) so with parties on every weekend there should be gig oportunities available for you.
Melbourne has also been voted most liveable city in the world... i think.

hehe i love how melbournites are about melbourne I lived in NorthCoast, Sydney and Melbourne, and i gotta agree  melbourne is a nice place to be, cheaper than sydney, and more cosmopolitan, more like any european city...
plus the most up to date psyscene, albeit indoors during winter [you prob used to that tho Patrick ]

Thinking of moving to Aussie and I have to choose from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane... What I can read here Melbourne sounds like the place to be... Which is the best site to get party info from when im down in australia... Parties near Mel that is...

i dont wanna start a melbourne .vs. sydney arguement, BUT....
MOVE TO SYDNEY!!! 
during summer theres heaps of outdoor parties. and sydney is close to boiling point inmho. and getting gigs should not be a prob!

im not Aussie but from the 5 months in Sydney and the 1 month in Melbourne i must say if/when i go back it will be to Melbourne...much less rich and flashy,much more diverse and friendly and mainly....more UNDERGROUND!!!!
indeed a great city! and the trance scene is better!

p.s if u are a beach freak then Sydney is the place for u...and about the 8 months of "winter' i can assure u,coming from sweden u wont feel even 1 month of real winter......

hey there, am also plannin to go to oz this year end for 2 yrs, now i gotta choose out of gold coast, melbourne and adeliade. am goin to univ but wudnt like to go to a univ where psy scene is dead. inputs welcome.

yeah i've heard of byron its couple of hours south of gld cst. and what abt Mullimbimby ??? where is it. and what abt the psy scene in gold coast, tho have heard its full of trashy surfers and mall culture... plz help out as i am gonna spend 2 yrs out there.
