buy yourself a harware hihat and a mic, sample your own shit! the best way to be original...
i have done it a couple of times.. but i tend to use all kinds of stuff i find on the net or sample from a jazztrack, whatever.
If you buy Native Instruments Battery or Battery2 youll get nice patches on the dvd.
But all in all, the best way is to tweak whatever files you get hold of.. i use battery. or kontakt...

Another way is to create your own hihats / use whatever synth has a noise oscillator and go nuts 
I do some of my hihats this way ... but still i always use the typical 909 OHH in every track
