Hello,
i would advice an yamaha digital amp..so they came up first with those digital surround amps etc...most experience ..and thats something i trust in..but actualy i don`t really know if there are much better ones..depends on what you plan to do..for a simple stereo setup you might get other amps that are better..
if you want good speakers..you can even buy some mid class speakers..and solder out the kondensators of the frequency switch..then go to a high end audio shop who are specialiced with kondensators and stuff tuning of equipment..then you can get new one for 1-1000€ for each kondensator...go back to your speakers frequency swith and solder the new kondensers onto the platin..that is how to tune up passive speakers...like you can get a way better dynamic and clear crisp..etc sound out of that...that can save you big money...even you could check the build in kondensers there in the shop..if they are really working like the way they are described and so on...
but you can tune up your system like this without the need of big mney for speakers...even kondensers for ca. 50€ each will give you way better rms amounts of your speakers...but you should even think of acoustic tteadment wich is naturaly quite important for a decent sound..
good luck m8
