I can completely understand what you guys are saying about being experimental, but this is a psytrance predominantly forum correct? I would have understood the message that the track was trying to give a lot more if I hadn't already had the pretense that it was a psy track.

But I do agree that we take our psy music incredibly seriously.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Hmmm!
I usually dislike full-on, uplifting, happy melodies, start-stop-start-stop psytrance... But this I enjoyed alot!
Full of energies, groovy, funny and the production sounds great. The only thing i didnt like is the "I got beef" sample
On 04:23 comes a very ravey uplift cheeze trance melody... I don't know the original track, so did you make it or is it talamasca's? I liked it alot...

brod... you too spreading the "gold rays" thingy...

wtf are they?

Man, the gold rays thing was awesome. It was a term coined by psyntax, presumably while he was high on an entire brick of hash.

Also, I feel compelled to explain that the schmalzy breakdown at the end was intentional. The vocoded part at the end is this, translated from English to French with the Bell Labs text to speech French dialect converter, and then vocoded: "I am Brad, and this is my Talamasca remix. There is no Talamasca remix like it, this is my own. This is the sappy epic trance MDMA progressive breakdown for which you have waited several minutes."

And the part at the beginning is Bell TTS speaking a Google English to Spanish translation, which says "y ahora a talamasca remezcle de estados unidos, presentación boole con la carne, tranlations por el internets, deje su cereb ro traducir el sol a luz" which roughly translates to "And now a Talamasca remix from the United States, presenting boole with the meat, translations by the internet, let your brain to turn the sun to light."

Lots of translating the sun to bad linguistics going on...

And vibraslaps!

Also, most of the leads which are not from the Talamasca kit are from the Virus powercore (unlimited license is a necessity,) and the highbass you can hear at -2:25 is DSP Discovery. The kick drum may have actually come from this forum, I don't remember. Mostly anything not from the kit here demonstrates moderate use of the PoCo Virus tho, I don't think I used much more than 4x multi part instances, actually around a total of 6 virus parts.

NightShift:

Yeah that's pretty simple if you're using SX, it's just a blurred word. Just click the scissor tool, set quantize to 1/64 (or 1/32) and then alt click on the very left side of the audio event you wanna use. It will automatically slice the whole thing into 64th notes, then you can delete and Ctrl-D copy whichever ones you want for the blurring. I love crazy edits.
