yes, in the north, every summer weekend you have an open air! but when you look into the mushroom, there are hardly any announced in the south. maybe it's the gouvernment, the south is more strict. there is a christian party leading and in the north it's the socialists.

Itīs a problem about Politics and police down here. Itīs fu***ing hard to find even a location where you can celebrate a party without beeing disturbed by Police, rules, restrictions, owners, neighbours and so on.And even if you find a location where you can do a party - its mostly indoor and not that crowded like the partys in the north. Most Partys here in the Munich area are around 200 - 500 People. The People really know how to party but they donīt have a chance to do it often.
This is why a lot of people from the south are going to swiss and austria for party cause its easier and the partys are often not to be stopped at 6-8 a clock in the morning (this is an interesting and important part of a party and i really miss this over here)
Another problem is the main opinion about the scene... The main opinion in southern germany specially about psychedelic trance parties is: they are only doing this parties for selling and consume drugs - And a lot of parties have to canceld every year cause of this bullshit.
Sometimes it happen like this: You find a location -police turn up at the owner and tell them bullshit like all this drug and illegal tales. The owner gets afraid that he gets in trouble and cancel the location. I tried to make a private party open air last year.... it was stopped by the cops even before it began cause there was a flyer (invitation) and that means in their opinion it is a official party where you have to go to the state council and get a license for doing it - and in 100 cases you may be get 3 oks...
Itīs really sad cause i know both parts of germany very well - I moved from Hamburg to Munich 2 years ago and what i can say is: there are not much official partys going on here in the south cause of all the stress but there are a lot of really small underground parties (around 200 ppl) without any flyer and without any advertising only over sms, e-mail and moth to mouth - but that means that you have to be a part of the scene and you have to know some ppl. The sound is darker and much harder then in the north and i really enjoying this but not reall often.... 
So if anybody knows about possible locations in Bavaria or have contacts to some club owners please contact me to change things down here....
