Acid, do you know the addage "too many chiefs not enough indians"?
Being an irreplaceable indian is the best place to be....why not just help make the events close to you better with the addition of your energy rather than adding another drop in the bucket....interference patterns caused by two pebbles being dropped in the same bucket, in this case, are ugly...just add what you can to the rock already falling, and the splash becomes yours as much as anyone elses, and its symmetry just feels better, if youre a water molecule on the surface you'll definitely get higher on the wave if the shockwave originates from a single rock being dropped in your bucket/environment rather than several small pebbles, which cause just as much disturbance, but are harder to see the beauty in such assymetrical chaos..not that its not there...smell what I'm steppin in?

I don't think this discussion should be done through PMs. It's good to have an open discussion (also sometimes called a forum) about these things so many people can input their ideas.
I agree with Senor Fatty about being an indisposable Indian. Especially in the area you are in Acid, there are already well established orgs. Unless you can find a spot to consistently bring in people without interfering with the other parties going on, there's not much point to run your own parties (yet).
I really suggest you take my advice to help out with other parties first and develop a network of connections. You gain experience in how parties are organized and thrown as well as gaining the connections to the people who have resources to make these things happen (you also learn how much parties cost). After you get a good grip on things and have enough connections it will be FAR easier to start your own group (even if it's just 2-3 parties a year at first). Don't try to rush this, I know you have some equipment already, but nothing is more valuable than the experience in handling parties and having connections with those people.
More specifically this is exactly what I would do in your situation. Contact the orgs of the next party in your area BEFORE the party. Ask to help out with setup/running the door/cleanup. Even if they say they have enough people, when you get there, find the org and ask if they still need help with anything (some people don't show up sometimes or the org doesn't realize they need more help than they planned for). While doing this, talk to some other people who are helping out, they are likely to be djs/promoters/sound people who you need to get to know. At an appropriate time, mention to the org that you have equipment that would be sufficient to run a second stage. Ask if he would like to use it at his next party. You can offer to do it for free, but personally I'd ask for a small amount (~$100) or some comps for your friends. Free things are nice, but an org might be weary about how good it will be/will be run. If he doesn't need sound, still give him your number/contact info and let him know that it is at his disposal (if this works for you). You still may get a call to run sound at the next show - sometimes unexpected things come up in this area. Either way, you have a good "in" with the org and things will progress from there.
I'm no expert on the subject and anyone else is free to chime in on my thoughts, this just seems like the logical way to go about things. Diving off the deep end always looks like fun, but you have to remember that all those people started by dipping their toes in the shallow end first.

i could be wrong but from what i read, the person wasn't trying to be an organizer- the person was trying to offer their services/equipment for rental.
advice i probably shouldn't be giving, because i have no personal experience, is if your determined to make this venture into a life sustaining profession, really really market and develop yourself(this will take time)- there are not nearly enough psy events to make any sort of living off of- at all! even psytrance celebrities dont make their living off of this- so i would also venture out into other genres
also i understand u not meeting the orgs yet, but if u want to get serious with this project then u should try. the orgs dont always walk up to everyone at the party- they r usually running around-- best time to catch them is what ppl said before- during cleanup |

Oh don't worry I already plan to start contacting the orgs.
My intention was never to become an organizer of sorts but rather a traveling word/music spreader.
We were going to travel to different states, and try to find like minded people and open them up to something they may have never heard about.
We have been doing that with our friends. They all primarily being "metal heads" hated the idea of "trance" music... until we introduced them to all aspects of the music. Now most of them enjoy it and understand it and have been changed permanently in some way to think differently... so now we need to find new people to influence. HAHA or so that was our plan
Its not happening RIGHT now like we were hoping... but with time..who knows.

I'd say your intentions are good, you have fresh energy and are obviously into the music so keep coming out and offer your help where ever its needed. throw small renegade parties if you want, the more the merrier but I think the sentiments are if we work together we pull of more well produced events instead of everyone branching off and throwing smaller less put together shows. so definately plug in with organizers whose shows you identify with and try to help where you can..
honestly coming out and dancing and contributing good energy to the scene is needed as much as help in most places which I think where this indian and chief stuff is going.
but really, welcome to the fold, and keep it goan!
