nice, you got quality in your instruments sounds, very well played, professional sound...
but i dont know if i would hear it on a Chillou t or in the trance stage in the morning...
maybe if you change our kick drums to something more chillout like shulman it would fit much better,
what u think

I agree, it's unlikely to be played at a party - too busy for chillout, not banging enough for main stage I'd like to make more stripped-down and in-your-face stuff, but I get carried away making sounds
Glad you liked them!

hey man,
i cranked up the volume and had a listen. very well produced that is! mix sounds all nice and kinda analogue with depth. smashing hat samples and phat kick/bass, lovin it!
i would play that track out on the stage, why not? groovy and stomping with a nice trippy story.. and don´t change the kick, its phat as is!
more please.

listening to other stuff on your cloud i would like to know how your workflow is if you are willing to tell ;-)
everything sounds very 3D and spacious yet tight and well, phat. you working with an analogue desk and analogue synths a lot?
great stuff, both music and technic wise!

klippel, mate, thank you! I'm so flattered (blushes)
Gear-wise, I'm using: Virus TI, FutureRetro XS, occasionally DSI Evolver (not on this one, but on "Drop Theory" and "Comfort Zone"). This track also features my new acquisition, Waldorf Blofeld. The only virtual instruments used are NI Maschine and D16 Phoscyon. Everything is recorded and mixed in Reaper, using mostly free plugins - the exception being ValhallaDSP plugins, all of which I own and use heavily.
Funny you should ask about my workflow, 'cause I think workflow is actually my weak point: basically, I make a bunch of loops in Maschine, and then spend months trying to arrange them into a coherent track . I also work exclusively in headphones, which makes mixing, especially getting the low end right, a hit-and-miss adventure. That's why your compliments regarding the sound are all the more appreciated.
Cheers! |

lol, now thats funny. mixes sound phat and spacious as if recorded on an analogue console sort of. "Bruxism Of Pleasure" is for example very well done.. one can hear the amount of work you put into the details and mix. Reminds me to get back at learning, lol.
keep on grooving mate
