I quote:
Did you ever wonder if the convention of imitating hardware in software is the final word on friendly user interfaces? Is it indisputably the most efficient, creative and inspiring way of interacting with a software synth? We asked ourselves these questions… and we created Synplant.
Synplant is a software synthesizer with a genetic approach to sound creation. Instead of creating patches the conventional way by turning dials and knobs, Synplant lets you explore a world of organic sounds by planting seeds that grow into synth patches. The purpose of this product is to move focus away from the sometimes intricate and difficult process of sound synthesis and instead let you develop sounds by simply using your ears.
You will find that creating synth patches with Synplant will be as easy as listening and deciding what you like and then having the sounds evolve in the directions you desire. Although Synplant is exceedingly easy to use, whatever you do, do not let its relative simplicity fool you. Beneath its straightforward and playful interface you will find a versatile synthesizer of the utmost quality with lots of character. Also, once you are ready to get your hands dirty and dig deeper into the anatomy of Synplant you will have the option to crack open your sound seeds and modify their underlying genetic code.

its interesting but its very bad at convincing me that i would eve use it in a track, like the sounds are good, but its hard to understand what the heck is going on behind the panel... the DNA string gets confusing looking for parameters like that....

Maybe it's good to not know what you're doing.
You might make great sounds, of which you never thought before.
Other than just following the same path, same ideas etc, which bores me in the end and doesn't inspire me at all. |

i downloaded and im currently trying it out, its pretty darn cool and different which makes it so much more funner than lots of stuff in the market. I personally love it... im sure my lil nephews would have loads of fun aswell even though they are 4yrs old, then dna structure section is frickn trippy ima keep taking this one for a ride plenty of fun and surprises, plus they are being bold in making new stuff that other in the market are failing at it seems everyone in the market just recycle ideas this is truly a refreshing software in today's market, and i thought it was gonna be a joke like that superstar psy synth someone posted a while back LOL
Peace |
