Waves Renaissance Bass
http://www.waves.com/Content.aspx?id=194 put this plug on your bassline and kick, then put little little reverb and you get fat bassline and kick
what program your using for making tracks?
and if you can post here one example what kick and bass you like i will make you tutorial how to make it for more understanding

yep man when you put little reverb on the bassline and kick than when you mastering your track its give you more stereo tape sound
and about fat kick and bassline Renaissance bass will help him to make it more fat

check this vst plug it make same kick and bassline
