there an effect that alot of main-stream music producers use but also underworld on "dinosour 3d" and i think in a track of younger brother also. it sound like some kind of modulation but someone can tell me what effect is?

sounds a bit like autotune, but still not. I am puzzled here. I'd like to know too...           Zimbah (Ratata-taaa)

listening close it sounds as if there is some formant changing too...probably some kickass fx where you can play with the pich of the vocal via midi (that's where i thought of autotune), but i am sure there is formant change...that's probably the modulation you are talking about. Anyone knows?

Is is a plug in, or a HW-device? Who makes it?           Zimbah (Ratata-taaa)

there is a plug'in from steinberg
called "voice machine" it contains two
fx plug'ins:
1-generator: all the parameters of pitch, delay and lfo with a keyboard when you can play the 2nd voice to the wave you insert.
2-processor-with out a keyboard, with harmonazyer and pitch modulation.
you can reach a great results with those two.

good luck!

Ah! Big thanks! I have had those plugz for some time now without trying it. I think a combo between autotune (the latest where you can control the notes via midi) and the formant modeling with voicemachine can make good results           Zimbah (Ratata-taaa)
