i'd suggest to do it the other way round. take a random kick and make your bass and then tune a kick to fit the bass. is easier if you ask me...
thank you , i dont, normal have much of an issue with tuning the kick n bass together as i normal make my own kick.
what i want to know is how vertical mode (in the track i posted)have got such a low sub bass, it sounds phat and clean on a big system, iv looked at it on a spectrum analizer and it really does have lots of sub 20hz freqs, i think its the bass rarther than the kick.

well, saturation i guess. your bass was already on the right way if you want that sound. don't forget that this is mastered.
you could add an extra sub sine layer...
but what you could investigate is the key of kick and bass. you gain extra space in the sub region when you take a kick in key of the second harmonic of the bass, so that the kick simply does not have such a low end but still fits with the bass...
this is done here:
i looked at this because a friend asked me how this bassline is done...
if i remember correctly the bass is in D and the kick in A and the kick is low cut below 50hz.

kick and bass are very good now. the bass on your intro sounds a bit weird.
i don't really like this lofi-lead which appears sometimes.
