Help with symphonic orchestra samples

I just got east symphonic orchestra gold. Can some one explain to me what forte, pizzicato, spiccato, etc. means? Or provide me with a link? Cause I can't see any obvious difference between some samples. Also there are some initials in front of the samples like VCS in cellos, SVL in violins, etc. What is this? Is this like the model of the violin or something? |
