I like filtered noise and pitching things up, also noise with a fast percussive envelope makes for cool fx! |

one ocilator saw wave, lfo afecting the pitch ocilator, and to minimal speed, that gives you raisers, and then you can modulate your fm and use the other ocilator to make it sound darky not cheese fullon raiser, you can play with the filters or whatever you want to use to make it better, maybe fx or anythig like that. Or maybe add another lfo affecting some other thing to make it modulate, Its all about modulation in darkpsy "! |

i quite like doing this...
take a short sample. timestretch to as long as you need. pitchshift if needed. apply fade in. eq below 200hz out.
apply fx as needed

isnt the fx is what the guy asked about?
i just try to find a small nice sounding piece from a lead in the track i'm working on, duplicate it eternally and apply pitch bending, reverse, frequency shifting, comb filtering, granular processing and almost any other random fx i can find. in no particular order.

Makus advice is win. Also try Surge VST as it has incredible practical LFOs for fast risers. |
