help with midi setup and hw synth to go along with it

is the novation impulse 25key a good midi keyboard to use with the korg nanokontrol2 with ableton and vst's as a beginner setup ??
In future i plan to upgrade to a nord rack 2x or any other hw .....im mainly focusing on dark psy production |

The impulse is great(I use the impulse49), but be sure to try out some different controllers.
Most of them are great and you have to see which works good for you.
Big plus for Novation is the automap software I think.

im just a beginner so i thought 25 key would be sufficient + i have no experience with keyboards....would i be needing 49 keys in future???
i hear a lot of +ve reviews on the automap |

would you be needing 49 keys in future??? needing not, you can transpose octaves on the small kb but its just nicer to have more available octaves at once.
will all vsts you gonne use, be automapped?

i have to check if the vsts gonna work...... In future i will be upgrading to hw synths (nord rack2x or moog slim phatty)....will the automap work with those??? |
