hello there psyamigos!!!
im trying an ableton live setup for performing live, and i have an echo indigo dj card, which im very happy with. u know it has two stereo outputs which ive been usin mainly for one output for main track and the other for the leads i imposovise for the live tweaking. i think there is a way that i can use 4 mono outputs instead of 2 stereo, so i can be able to mix 2 tracks and have 2 separate chanells for leads.... is these a good thing or possible at all.. cause i was thinking that having mono outputs may cause the sound to have less quality. of course i would be using a mackie for the performance..
any suggestions are very wellcome           www.soundcloud.com/elektroakustica/sets/downtempo/

You have to use the echo console. There are 8 virtual outputs that the echo support. I don't use ableton, but 8 echo virtual outputs should show up. In Ableton assign mono 1 to virtual output 1, mono2 to virtual output 2, mono3 to virtual output 3, mono4 to virtual output 4

Then, open the echo console, & you have virtual outputs 1-8 on the left side; a 1-2 button, a 3-4 button, and the main volume are on the right.

Click the 1-2 button, & unmute virtual output 1 & 2 (leaving all others muted). Then click the 3-4 button, & unmute virtual outputs 3 & 4, muting all others. Make sure your master volume is up. If you are using an external mixer, seperate the signals again (stereo 1-2 out left channel would be mono 1, 1-2 right = mono 2, 3-4 left = mono 3, 3-4 right = mono 4)

This is the general idea...I hope it makes sense. It's nice because you can use another program, let's say NI Absynth, assign it to virtual outpus 5 & 6, then use the echo console to decide where you want to mix it in.....
